The service
Karata ('the game') is a free card game offered on mobile and web by the Karata team. By creating an account, playing as a guest or joining a room you agree to these terms.
Accounts
You pick a username to play. Guest accounts work without a password; you may add one later. You are responsible for activity on your account. Usernames that are offensive, impersonate others or infringe rights may be changed or removed.
Fair play
The in-game 'cheat mode' is a consented house rule — real cheating is not. Automating play, exploiting bugs, harassing other players or disrupting rooms may lead to suspension or removal of your account. If you find a bug, tell us instead of exploiting it.
Your content
Usernames and gameplay actions are visible to other players in your rooms and on leaderboards. Don't use a username you wouldn't want shown publicly.
Availability & changes
The game is provided 'as is', free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue features (including wiping leaderboards during early development) at any time. We may update these terms; continued play after an update means you accept the new terms.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
